Not knocking the rider in any capacity. In fact, more or less complementing his abilities on a SS. I just thought that if someone can win an M2 race on a SS, they should be quite competitive in the M1 race with a geared bike. Hence relating it to the other thread. Sarcasim gets lost with the written word.
I do 90% of my miles on my fixed gear, rather competently, but I'm absolutely average with gears. As for Jason, in his own words, the course suited him. If you look at the standings on the OCA site you'll see that his results are good and competative, but hardly dominating. He deserves congratulations on a fine win, but until he starts killing the rest of us on every type of course, he's more than welcome in M2!

My hat's off to Jason. He won a sweet frame earlier on in the season and took a well-deserved M2 win. Great guy as well who I always hear cheering for me from the other side of the tape during my 10am races.
Thanks for the tip O' the cap and all the congrats! As far as how fast I'd be with gears? I think it would be interesting. Maybe next year! Actually I might borrow a geared bike at practice one time. Just to see if it make me faster. One of my goals for the year is to do well enough to upgrade. I would still be riding SS up there too. So far my season is going good, so I'll probably be up there by the end of the year. I'd say if lightning strikes twice I'd jump up the next day.
See ya soon. Jason m
