Hey everyone
This is a good race to get ready for PA or a good excuse to get on your cross bike for another race. Good course and great organization.

Is a Cross bike the best
Is a Cross bike the best choice for this race or is a hard tail mtb?
Personally I would go with
Personally I would go with a cross bike but a hard tail with semi slicks would be okay, especailly if you can lock the fork out.

Uxbridge
Uxbridge Icebreaker
Nathan,
Just Wondering...Would you go with a cross bike for the Uxbridge Icebreaker as well?
Mike
I was told the Icebreaker
I was told the Icebreaker was much more suited to a mountain bike, but then again, Peter won it on a CX bike last year. I'll be riding it on my mtb.
with the race two weeks
with the race two weeks later than last year , a cross-bike should be the way to go. Peter won last year on a X but the rest of the lead group were on MTB's . I'll be riding my XPREZO cross bike with 42mm tire up front a 28mm rear and 34/42 chainrings with a 13 x 25 9sp cassette just like at PROV's...Good Luck...Giver Newf.
It'll be two weeks later,
It'll be two weeks later, but we only got 40-something cm of snow last year as well. I'm going to wait and see what the conditions are like before I decide. I was just going on The Keith's advice since this race is a new one for me. :)

What kind of tires will you
What kind of tires will you use i.e semi slick, knobby and why the wider one up front?
Mike
Good question Mike. IRC
Good question Mike. IRC Mythos 42mm semi-slick front, Ritchey Speed-max or Larson Nimo 30mm rear. The larger tire up front provides a little bit of suspension and allows for more aggresive steering inputs and inables you to carry more speed in the turns...Giver Newf...
Ted, Thanks for
