Centennial Practice, One Last Time or Done Now?

When I asked Craig before the UCI race he said it would include this week. But that's just my memory, so don't take it from me. On another note, does anyone know if the provincials course will be ridable any time this week? kevin

Kevin: Here's the map of the course. It's just a park, so you can go ride it whenever you like, of course, but I think they're taping it on Saturday. Not sure about availability for pre-rides and whatnot.

We will be at Riverdale early on Saturday doing prep. We will be there till well after dark so if anyone wants to stop by and get a read/pre-ride on the course feel free. We will also have tents, heaters and a BBQ on site Saturday for those who come out to ride or assist in set-up. The map is slightly off but the majority of it is what will be used. Hope yall like dismounts! ;)

Yes, tomorrow is the last evening for 'Cross @ Centennial this year. Dress very warmly and bring your lights. Don't forget Nov 30 at Kings Mill Park, under the Old Mill Subway station... regular start time and categories, regular fees, a high proportion of the proceeds will go to Friends of Canadian Cyclo-Cross and we encourage, hope!, all prize winners will donate their cash prizes to the cause. Note for those wishing to increase their donation there will be a table set-up, tax receipts for donations in excess of race fees will be issued by the C.C.A. More info posted to this site by the end of this week. Last race of the year is the Dec 31 New Years Eve cross at South Humber Bay... Racing starts at noon only 2 groups 12 noon - A group 50 minutes (more sedate group), 1:15 pm 60 minutes (more aggressive group), If icy like last year, studs will be allowed in your tires. Post race party like last year.

I'm feeling slightly less than PRO today so if anyone's driving to Centennial from downtown (College/Ossington-ish) can I hitch a ride? Otherwise I'll be at Bickford Park (Harbord/Christie) for a bit until it gets too dark to dodge dogs and their walkers.

'Cross 2 Centennial has concluded for this year. Thanks to all who came out and made it such a success. I have a question for next year... would you like a Saturday edition on those weekends when there is not an OCA 'Cross race scheduled?

You mean in addition to the Tuesday nights? If that's the case it would probably be nice. If it's instead of the Tuesday night thing, I'd say stick with the weeknight. Generally speaking I'd rather do a longer road/mtb ride on a Saturday, rather than CX practice, but if the option was there I'd potentially drop by for the occasional Saturday practice.
